“We recently moved house from Cumbria to Scotland. We needed a team who were willing to remove a lifetimes possessions from a large Victorian house and who were capable of taking care of delicate ceramics, antique possessions and some very heavy furniture. Alan and team from County Removals arrived at the precise pre-arranged time and set about removing 90 boxes, 75 paintings, 15 mirrors, a Chesterfield Suite, several brass bedsteads together with our kitchen paraphernalia, clothes, ornaments and every single family possession. They were done in 5 hours and were a delight to be around. They were very attentive, very polite and ultra professional. All of our possessions were held overnight in Carlisle and the very next day at precisely 9am they were waiting for us as we arrived at our new home in Scotland. It took Alan and his team no time at all to put all of our possessions into our new home and not a single item had been damaged. It was a truly remarkable and enjoyable experience at the end of a protracted house sale that had been extremely stressful. We cannot thank Alan and the team from County Removals enough. “I am writing to give a 5* rating for the way the directors and staff at Carlisle looked after us from the moment we contacted you back in December 2017 to the actual move to North Berwick in April 2018. The personal contact and the attention to detail shown by Peter preparing for the move was very reassuring. On arrival they worked very hard – and with patience and good humour as the cupboards and chest of drawers and garage seemed to hold a lot more items than they (or we) ever expected. They managed to get everything packed safely into the vans. And then in glorious sunshine they arrived on time the next morning at North Berwick and had everything safely unloaded in the right places in no time at all. There was no damage to any items and they moved the furniture into the house with care and no damage to the walls or woodwork.
